The Blend

The 2010 Caldera Cuveé is a red wine blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (45%), Merlot (30%) and Cabernet Franc (25%), all sourced from the Spring Hill Farms vineyard in the Adelaida District of the Paso Robles Appellation, smack dab in the middle of the California Central Coast.

Harvest Date: October 18th, 2010

Yield: 2.2 tons per acre

Alcohol:  15.4% by alcohol

Brix: 26.9º

Residual Sugar: .38%

Bottling: November, 2014 (four years in neutral barrels)

Production: 262 cases, with 6 jeroboams and 12 magnums, all with original canvas labels signed by the artist and winemaker.

Retail: $79

If you had to know one thing, it would be this:  Caldera Cuveé is the healthiest wine you can possibly drink.  It is the wine your doctor would recommend by prescibing, "...one or two glasses of red wine a day are good for you!"
